COME is a non-profit foundation looking to establish international and multidisciplinary partnerships initially as a launching pad for discussing ideas and concepts and, in the long-term, to pursue grant funding, high quality research, clinical and health care support.
The foundation includes not only the most established and active researchers in the osteopathic arena but also professionals from different medical and non- medical fields.
COME policy has the peculiarity to be adaptable, plastic and outcome-driven.
The meaning of collaboration and team-working is: support members and colleagues to be bold and achieve outcomes throughout a project-based approach.
COME has received the legal recognition by the prefecture of Pescara, Italy, in 2014 and is registered into the Italian charity list (Onlus) from 2014.
The COME Collaboration is registered under Italian law as an international non-profit foundation and is registered in the company register of commerce with the number: 91128450680.
The Articles of Foundation of the COME Collaboration (also known as Statutes/bylaws) are the core governing document of the COME. Authorities of the COME are the board of directors and the scientific committee supported by several divisions.
INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD
The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is formally designated to approve, monitor and review research submitted from/to the foundation.
The purpose is to assure that all steps of the research have been taken and all ethical aspects have been considered. The IRB serves, also, as external review body for osteopathic research approval.
