Research centers

National Council for Osteopathic Research (NCOR - University of Brighton) was set up by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the British Osteopathic Association (BOA) and the UK osteopathic educational institutions (OEIs) in 2003 to foster research and raise the profile of osteopathy research findings. It is jointly funded by the BOA, GOsC, the OEIs and the Osteopathic Educational Foundation. NCOR wants to explore and assure the place that osteopathy has to play in Healthcare. Osteopathic Research Center (ORC) is an organization, founded in 2001, whose mission is to foster nationwide collaborative research on the efficacy of osteopathic manipulative medicine. Although manipulative medicine is only one way the osteopathic physician treats patients, it is among the founding principles of the profession.

A.T. Still Research Institute (ATSRI)  The purpose of the A. T. Still Research Institute is to assist, mentor, and nurture local faculty, students, and particularly clinicians in applying for and conducting sponsored research projects, both intramurally and extramurally, thus facilitating a stronger research environment throughout A. T. Still University.

Foundation for Osteopathic Research and Continuous Education (FORCE) The Foundation for Osteopathic Research and Continuous Education has emerged to improve health and the delivery of care through the promotion and utilization of Osteopathic medicine and its approach. With the creation of FORCE, the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) offers an independent organization whose sole purpose is to conduct research and translate its findings to patient care though educational programming offered to the resident, physician, and clinical communities. The Foundation is charged with coming full circle, from the research design and management to publication and ultimately clinical practice to benefit the human community.

Akademie für Osteopathie Deutschland.

Der Förderverein für osteopathische Forschung e.V. (FOF) unterstützt und fördert hochwertige Studien der Osteopathie, sei es zum wissenschaftlichen Nachweis ihrer Wirksamkeit oder zum Verständnis ihrer Wirkungsweisen. Darüber hinaus ermöglicht er die Veröffentlichung von Studienergebnissen in international führenden medizinischen Fachzeitschriften, sowie die Erstellung von Studienplänen zur Bewerbung um nationale und europäische Förderprogramme.

Das Institut für osteopathische Studien (INIOST) fördert und erstellt Studien zur Wirksamkeit der Osteopathie. Im Vordergrund stehen dabei systematische Übersichtsarbeiten (Systematic Reviews) und Metaanalysen. Es berichtet darüber hinaus in leicht verständlicher Form über aktuelle Ergebnisse der osteopathischen Forschung.

Scientific European Federation of Osteopaths (SEFO): the Madrid School of Osteopathy (Escuela de Osteopatía de Madrid - EOM), member of the Scientific European Federation of Osteopaths, research department are to supervise and carry out protocols of methodology applicable to osteopathic medicine ... Our work focuses on the study of the reproductivity of osteopathic tests, as well as the evaluation of osteopathic techniques using scientific criteria. In the near future, we hope to begin work on osteopathic epidemiology and establish osteopathic treatment protocols.
